She works hard on projects that help people.

LinkedIn says that Tragil was named Executive Director of Wade’s World Foundation in 2006. This is a group that “supports community-based organizations that promote education, health, and social skills for children in at-risk situations.”

After more than ten years, she started the America’s Big Sisters Foundation to help kids across the country who are struggling get through hard times.

Tragil also likes to read and is the name of the Summer Reading Program at Marquette University that was given to her by her brother Dwyane, who graduated from the school. The program gives students the chance to get more one-on-one help and small-group literacy help than they would in a normal school setting.

“In the community where I come from, many kids don’t have the tools or chances,” Dwyane told Marquette Today. Having the power to change my family’s luck was something I thought about when I was a kid: being able to provide some of those resources.

Her husband and she have a cool anniversary party.Edward Johnson is married to Tragil. He is a soldier who served in the Navy for 20 years. She is also a second mom to Areyonna and Prince, a daughter and son from her husband’s first union.

The couple said their vows on March 20, 2020, and started a fun practice of getting married every year. Scenes from the movies Queen & Slim, Love Jones, Poetic Justice, and Coming to America have been copied over the years.

Both she and her dad were given honorary doctorates.Tragil and her father, Dwyane Sr., both got an honorary doctorate in humanitarianism from the Global International Alliance in 2021. It was a double party. The award recognized the father and daughter’s ongoing work to help people in the neighborhood.

An thankful Tragil wrote an Instagram post thanking her “village,” which included helpers, contractors, and many other people who helped her be strong along the way.

“Every friend who always believed in me and pushed me to be my best,” she wrote. “Everyone in the family bought a ticket, gave money, volunteered, and just showed their love. It means more than you can know.” Thank you all, everyone who supports my brother and family. I really do.

She’s a happy sister. As one of the most decorated players in Marquette University’s history, Dwyane left early to enter the 2003 NBA draft. Tragil wanted her brother to finish school, even though the NBA legend and Hall of Famer has already cemented his place as a hero.

At first, he was going to keep studying online, but the school didn’t offer the classes Dwyane needed.

She wrote on Instagram, “He did more than I could think of, and his career went further than most.” “But I couldn’t get rid of the thought that he needed his degree more than ever before.” Now that he’s a dad, kids look up to him.

Tragil came up with a different plan and asked the school board every year to give Dwyane a special bachelor’s degree. In 2022, her wish came true at last.

“Finally, right now, I saw what I’ve believed God for 19 years…” “Can we say in God’s time…” she wrote on Instagram. “Nov. 19, he got a Doctorate instead of an undergraduate degree, and I’m over the moon.”

She is a part of a club.In 2022, Tragil was made a special member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The sorority, which has African American roots, is a non-profit community service group based on sisterhood and freedom.

“Humbled, humbled, humbled,” she wrote in the comments of a post about the honors class. “It’s an honor to be in a group of such strong women.” To be a part of the best sorority, @sgrhoupdates, and to call them all “my sisters,” I love them all. Thankful for this #Yearofgrace. I want to say a big thank you to my sponsor, who is now Soror Kelly Palmer.
