He’s gotten to the pinnacle of the sport of football due to hard work, but more than anything because of his immense physical talent that pairs with his improvisational s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s. It’s what makes him so dangerous when he leaves the pocket. And now, he’s showing he has another trick up his sleeve.
Patrick Mahomes’ behind-the-back pass at Chiefs practice
During a recent Kansas City Chiefs practice, Mahomes scrambled and looked to be headed past the line of scrimmage. Instead, he threw a no-look, behind-the-back pass to rookie running back Carson Steele. Steele made a sweet one-handed catch to complete the play.
Of course, this wasn’t against a real defense in a real game setting, but we’ve seen Mahomes go so far as to throw left-handed in an actual game before. There’s no stopping him from trying something like this during the upcoming season.
