Inside Victor Wembanyama’s Mind: NBA Great’s Controversial Opinion on the Britney Spears Saga

NBA great Victor Wembanyama speaks out on the drαma involving Britney Spears, saying he “thought it was no big deal.”

On Wednesday night in Las Vegas, the 19-year-old Frenchman was making his way to a restaurant when Britney Spears, 41, made an effort to catch his attention. According to Brian Grajales, a witness who talked with TMZ, a member of Wembanyama’s security team allegedly “backhanded her” after she approached him.

This account of the incident is a little different from what law enforcement said.

Police reported that as the guard reached for the NBA star, the guard hιt her hand away, causing the guard’s own hand to strike the guard’s face. Wembanyama spoke to the media on Thursday afternoon and shared his knowledge of the incident.

He acknowledged, through Nate Ryan of CBS affiliate KENS 5, that “something did happen” when he and his security team were making their way to a restaurant, but he “thought it was no big deal.”

We were in a large hall, where there were many people, Wembanyama recalled.

“Obviously, people are calling me. And only one individual was requesting my assistance. However, we warned the security prior, saying, “Don’t stop because it will draw a crowd.” therefore I was unable to stop.

“So that’s why they were addressing me as Sir. Sir.” I was seized from behind by the person. We were instructed to “don’t stop,” so I was walking straight when the incident occurred.

Wembanyama continued walking without turning around to look, saying that, to the best of his knowledge, “the security pushed her away” but that he “did not know with how much force.”

He added that he “thought they were joking” when he was told that the person in question was Spears and went on to state that he was not immediately aware of this.

Later on Thursday afternoon, Spears took to Instagram to discuss the event and express her disapproval of the security guy.

She said it was “very awkward to tell,” but added, “Traumatic situations are not new to me and I have had my fair share of them. What occurred to me last night caught me off guard.

“As I was making my way to supper, I spotted an athlete at my hotel. Later, when I visited a different hotel’s restaurant, I ran across him once more.

“I made the decision to go up to him and congratulate him on his achievement. I patted him on the shoulder to grab his attention because it was so loud.

I’m aware of the player’s claim that he was “grabbed from behind,” but all I did was tap the guy on the shoulder.

Then, in front of a throng, his security guards backhanded me in the face without turning around.

“Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses to fall off my face.”

Spears claimed that she frequently experiences being “swarmed” by fans and that it even happened that evening.

“My security didn’t hιt any of them,” she claimed in her letter. In a now-deleted outburst, her husband Sam Asghari attacked the security man who allegedly “slapped” her.

“Self-defense can sometimes be unavoidable, but the defense of any woman, especially my wife, is not debatable,” the guy stated.
