Fatherly Guidance, Champion’s Insight: LeBron James Calls the Shots for Bryce’s High School Team

It might have been a glimpse into LeBron James’ future.

In order to coach up his son, Bryce James, during Nike’s Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina, the NBA legend put down the powdered chalk and donned a polo shirt.

In the competition, Bryce James is representing Strive for Greatness, while Rajon Rondo, a two-time NBA Champion, was present to assist the James tandem in coaching.

Chris Paul, Bradley Beal, and Carmelo Anthony all have teams competing in the Peach Jam, one of the top high school basketball competitions in the nation.

Many videos showing James leading the team and Rondo directing a player out to the side made their way to social media.

One video shows James drafting a play and instructing the teammates on where to stand while in the huddle by the bench. Rondo was being directed by another player while being concentrated on off to the side.

A camera also captures James entering the gym and high-fiving several individuals lining the wall.

So far in the competition, Strive for Greatness is 1-1. They won the first game on Monday, defeating the Expressions 78–69, but on Wednesday they were defeated by the Florida Rebels 72–67.

Bryce James scored 12 points in the opening game, including two three-pointers.

On Thursday, they play again when they take on Mokan Elite. James is coming off a season in which the Lakers struggled and he missed 55 games due to ιnjury. This will be his 21st NBA season.

Last season, he scored 28.9 points per game.

According to ESPN, Bryce is now a junior at Campbell Hall after transferring from Sierra Canyon High School. Scouts from the Lakers, Magic, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Heat, Knicks, Suns, and Hawks have shown interest in him at the tournament, according to Yahoo.

His brother Bronny James decided to play college basketball at USC in May.
