Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards snubs LeBron James in bewildering top 5 NBA players of all time list

Anthony Edwards, guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, recently announced his top five NBA players of all time, but he failed to include LeBron James, star for the Los Angeles Lakers and a frequent challenger for the title of greatest player in NBA history.

Edwards communicated his top five selections through Heir.Edwards did not include LeBron James, star of the Los Angeles Lakers, or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, legend of the Milwaukee Bucks and the NBA’s all-time greatest scorer, on his top five scorers list.

It’s worth mentioning that Edwards has previously received criticism for his lists of the top 5. Edwards omitted Michael Jordan from his top five, but included himself and LeBron James, just last year.Kevin Durant, Allen Iverson, and Shaquille O’Neal are among the five players who appear on each of Anthony Edwards’ top five rankings.

Edwards, now 22 years old, has always gotten strange looks due to the fact that he is so passionate about basketball. Edwards informed ESPN.com before being taken first overall in the 2020 NBA Draft that he “can’t watch basketball.”

While it seems highly unlikely any young player challenges LeBron for the scoring record, Edwards is one of the few who feasibly could. Edwards is fourth in NBA history in total points scored before turning 22 years old with 4,871 points scored and has shown solid durability by playing in at least 72 games in each of his first three seasons.Edwards, who is leading Team USA in the 2023 FIBA Me𝚗’s World Cup, is gearing up for a big fourth season with the Timberwolves, while James is coming back to the Lakers for his 21st season.Edwards may or may not enjoy watching basketball at the moment, but there is no doubt that he can play the game. Anthony Edwards just finished his finest season yet with the Timberwolves, averaging 24.6 points per game and being nominated to his first NBA All-Star team in his third year with the team.

Edwards is one of the few young players who might really push LeBron for the scoring record. Edwards has played in at least 72 games in each of his first three seasons, demonstrating solid endurance, and he is now fourth in NBA history in total points scored before turning 22 with 4,871.

While James returns to the Lakers for his 21st season, Edwards is leading Team USA at the 2023 FIBA Me𝚗’s World Cup and getting ready for a big fourth season with the Timberwolves.
