The Kansas City Chiefs agreed on a three-year deal with defensive lineman Mike Danna on Friday that will keep him in Western Missouri for the foreseeable future.
Danna, a former Michigan Wolverine, has been a key cog in Kansas City’s defensive machine in 2023, and has been with the Chiefs during their last two Super Bowl championships.
While he may not be one of the NFL’s most recognizable stars, Danna has cemented himself as a rock-solid lineman who can make his presence felt in the pass rush in high-leverage situations. With his return to Kansas City in 2024, the Chiefs should have the depth they need to stay competitive defensively deep into the playoffs next season.
Kansas City’s fans took to social media after his new deal was announced on Friday night, expressing their contentment in the Chiefs latest signing.
