The Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant recently appeared on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” program to finally correct the record regarding his height.
Despite being labeled as 6’11”, Durant told Adams he was actually 6’9″. He then made fun of his teammates for being shorter than they claimed to be, referencing the Team USA group shot that has gone viral.
Durаnt remаrked оn Thursdаy, “I guess thоse guys must be shоrter thаn whаt their numbers sаy.” Since I’m 6’9,” it аppeаrs thаt Bаm аdebаyо is likely 6’8″ rаther thаn 6’10,” аnd аD is mоst likely 6’9″. Thus, they’re presumаbly grоwing а little tаller while I’m stаying the sаme height.
Durant laughed and said, “Embiid’s not 7 feet.”It’s unclear whether Durant is a real 7-footer or whether the Philadelphia 76ers player is just lying because his eyes appear to match those of the 7-foot Joel Embiid in the Team USA group photo.
Durant’s main worry this summer isn’t his teammates’ little white lies, though. With a calf issue that kept him out of Wednesday’s exhibition victory against Canada, the 14-time All-Star is presently dealing with it. Durant is still listed as “day-to-day” for Team USA’s next Olympic warm-up against Australia on July 15.
