From a distance, the Mars Rover looks like a Batmobile straight out of the Batman Begins movie. According to Marc Parker, the man responsible for the design and construction of the Mars Rover, this is an all-electric six-wheeler.

Mr. Marc affirmed that Mars Rover was born as a vehicle that can overcome all obstacles on Mars. As a result, the Mars Rover is equipped with a set of wheels that are 50 inches high and 30 inches wide “specifically designed to run on the sandy terrain of Mars”.

The outer shell of the Mars Rover is made from aircraft aluminum and carbon fiber to reduce weight. Mr. Marc did not give specific figures about the weight of the Mars Rover. However, with a length of 8.5 m, a width of 3.96 m and a height of 3.3 m, Mars Rover can weigh about 2,721 kg, equivalent to a pickup truck.

Inside the Mars Rover is a fully furnished interior with satellite navigation, air conditioning and radio. Mars Rover can carry 4 passengers inside.

Currently, NASA has not revealed many specific specifications of the Mars Rover. Just know, Mars Rover is equipped with solar panels and 700 V battery pack. Thanks to that, this model can reach a speed of 112 km / h on earth. If going to Mars, Mars rover can only run at a speed of 16-24 km / h.

In fact, the Mars rover will never get a chance to rode on Mars. Instead, the Mars Rover will be used to join a tour across the US for educational purposes.

Marc and his brother Shanon Parker started building the Mars Rover around November last year after their joint company came up with the idea. The Parker brothers started their own company five years ago with the purpose of building “weird” cars for movie or TV show crews.

The Mars Rover will be on display at the Kennedy Space Center from now until the end of June. After that, the vehicle will be brought to other cities in the US such as Atlanta, New York, Jersey City and Washington.
